First day as an intern...

Hey friends! Oh that's me...giving a THUMBS UP about the fact that I have my own set of drawers. It's the small things that make me happy.

I'm quite excited to report that everything is going great here in Memphis. Last night I took AJ and her friend Kristy to dinner. We had a BLAST! The girls are hilarious and quite energetic as most teens are. After dinner we came back to the house and watched Moulin Rouge - AJ's favorite movie.

I went to bed at 11:00. Granted I didn't fall asleep until midnight, that's the earliest I've been in bed in quite some time. Crazy. I woke up later than I wanted this morning (around 8:45). I was making my bed *GASP! - I never do that* when I discovered a rather large spider in the sheets. Oh...the horror! I flipped and began attacking it with my shoe. I began to yell as the spider was quite a speedy fellow and dogged all of my death blows. Unfortunately he got away...and I'm hoping if I slept with him one night maybe he wouldn't hurt me the next. Let's hope for the best, or that God strikes it dead. Either one would work for me.

I went "into work" today at the church. George and Courtney were there as well as a group of the boys from WSYG. They were moving everything into our triple-wide-delux trailer. Sweet. We moved boxes and I did a few odd jobs throughout the morning. I meet most of the staff whom seemed extremly nice and welcoming. I met one of their ministers named Rodney who melted my heart right off the bat. He was such a friendly and funny man that I automatically knew we'd get along. I also met their college minister Justin. I can already tell that we'll become close. He also does some design work and wants me to show him the ropes on InDesign. Sweet.

I spent most of the day helping people hang things in their office and organize my own. Granted there isn't much in ours, it's cozy. I want to hang something on the walls soon...it's kind of blank. Plus our office is the only one with a SOFA. I'm seeing a nap time on my daily agenda.

I just got back home. Billy and I rigged my laptop to be wireless which is GREAT. I'm sitting on my bed eatting mints at the moment as Molly (their dog) looks on hoping I'll drop something. She's a sweet thing and I'm getting used to having her around. I think I'm going to grab a shower in a minute. Keep everyone in your prayers!

It's going to be a good summer.
