Sickness

That's right. I caught the sickness.

Just like the rest of Auburn!

I got rather ill last week and I'm still recuperating. I just had the virus ickiness that's been going around. At the moment I still have a pathetic cough and sinus issues, but I'm well enough to do the whole student and class gig.

It's been one crazy weekend. If any of you know my dearest and closest friend Jessica Sabo was baptized on Sunday! I know, it just...rocked my world. She's precious to me and that was a beautiful moment overall.

As far as the internship quest goes I do have some new information. I got a phone call late Saturday night from AIM with Erika Bennett. We talked for about an hour and the crazy thing is she's probably already in India right now. Yes, she called me the NIGHT before leaving for another country. Talk about cool chick right there. At this point we have to work a few things out, and she won't return from her adventure for 3 weeks, but I'm really hopefully that I might get to work with AIM this summer.

I did hear back from Holy Cow Creative. They liked my work but their firm is only freelancers that work "off site" so it's not what I'm looking for.

I'm trying not to get too attached to AIM at the moment because there's so much to work out but man - it's just feels exactly right for what I want to do. We'll see where God leads I suppose!

School is going well. I am EXTREMELY behind due to my period of illness. I have my first web interface due tomorrow and I'm struggling to get something I like out of that. My first printmaking critique is Wednesday and I still need to churn out at least 4 more prints in the next 36 hours. Not to mention working on a cd design. Yes that's still going...

I also want to put it out there that I'm taking a break from freelancing. I'm creatively exhausted and I just need a break. So, if you were planning to ask for my design services I'll be sure to let you know when I open up shop again. For now this girl needs to regroup.

Tonight, besides frantically designing a web interface, I'm going to hear the African Children's Choir! I'm SO excited! My drawing professor saw them this weekend and said it was phenomenal. I'm really looking forward to the show.

Well I'm going to go make some coffee and get back to studio. Yes, coffee at 3 in the afternoon. Oh the life of a student designer...only 323 days left of it.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
