I'm here!

Hey everyone - just to let you know I've made it safe and sound to Memphis. Presently I've unpacked at my host family's casa. It's REALLY nice because God has blessed me with a closet, a set of drawers AND a desk. I mean, this is leaps and bounds from my mat on the floor in Brasil.

Mom got on the road this morning around 10:30. Kim, my host mom, is extremely nice and reminds me of my own in some ways - very attentive, generous, and prepared for anything. The house is cozy and Will's room is right next to mine. Kim said the bathroom next to the bedroom would be the one I would use which is doubly nice.

I just got in from driving around with Kim. We picked AJ up from school and dropped her off at physical therapy. She attends Harding Academy, which is a CoC private school. Most of the kids in WSYG go to private school, which is hard for me to fathom since I always went to public school. I still think it would be neat to study the Bible for class, but that's just me.

Kim and I picked up Moe's for lunch and took some to AJ. Kim just left the house to take AJ back to school and I'm here to finish unpacking, working on the summer's theme, etc. Courtney said there would be plenty to do and that's just how I like it. Will is still at school so I might get to see him after his baseball game tonight. He's hilarious! When Kim and Billy told him that I would be coming the first thing he said was "Does that mean we have to act like Christ all the time?" Hahahaa like I was some saint and he would have to be on his best behaviour. Haa that's so funny!

I'm going to call Courtney soon to meet up with her and perhaps get together with Katie Rhea for some coffee. Plans are up in the air for tomorrow mostly depending on what needs to be done at the church.
