Welcome!

Hey everybody!

I just wanted to go ahead and set up a nice little system for you to be able to know what is going on during the summer. Feel free to sign up and comment on the Blog or shoot me an e-mail at forreml@auburn.edu

Here's the deal. God has blessed me with an AMAZING opportunity to work with the teens and family of the White Station Church of Christ in Memphis. I'm leaving...tomorrow and I shall return to my town of origin on August 8th. I honestly can't convey my excitement and eager anticipation to start my summer with WSYG (White Station Youth Group)! To quote Lori soon to be Mrs. Hartzog...."GET EXCITED!"

I'll be in route tomorrow and plan to move in with my host family (The Jones) on Friday. They have a daughter named AJ who is 15 and seems like a sweet gal. The family also includes her younger brother named William who, according to his mom Kim, is "All boy" at age 10. Apparently I've got a sweet setup because everyone I talked to said "The Jones!? THEY'VE GOT A POOL!" So I'm in luck.

Another thing you folks can be praying about (along with my transition and the teens at WSYG) is the icing on top of my cake. I'm going to Africa. Yes, read that again. Ghana, Africa. I'll be tagging along with 12 other teens, Courtney Garland (one of the youth ministers) and a group of brave parents. We shall depart on July 6th and return to the States on July 24th! Keep us in your prayers and as I told my parents "Three continents down...four to go!"

Keep in touch! Check this whenever you get a chance because I'm quite fond of blogging and plan to update to a point of the readers thinking "Wow...we didn't need to know ALL of that".

Have a good one :)
